Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am so excited to meet you.
I am a family chiropractor who focuses on pediatrics, pregnancy, postpartum, and family wellness care. I practice a specific technique of chiropractic called tonal chiropractic.
I am originally from Palm Harbor, Fl and I am so excited to be back in my home town practicing what I love.
Growing up, I often suffered with migraine headaches. I'm talking weekly throughout elementary, middle, and high school, and 3-5 days per week while in college. My parents took me to the to all of the specialists, but nothing was ever "wrong" so I just learned to deal with it!
Fast forward to my Sophomore year at the University of Central Florida, when my migraines became unbearable. I was a pre-student, majoring in Molecular and Microbiology, working 2 jobs, volunteering, and babysitting on the side. My migraines would get in the way of my school work and my ability to enjoy my life. Again, I went to the doctor, but they had nothing to offer me except for pain medication. Hoping this would help, I started the medication. Not only did the medication not work, but I was 19 years old and I did not want to be on medication for the rest of my life.
As a last -ditch effort, I combed through my insurance policy and found that I had chiropractic benefits. I marched into Dr. Jaffe's office, and my headaches were drastically reduced within just a few visits. Because of routine chiropractic care, I am able to keep my migraines under control & I hardly ever get them anymore!
This experience opened my eyes to what true health care was. I realized that health was not found in a drug or in a surgical procedure (although necessary at times). Health is found within. We are each created with an innate ability to adapt to our environment, and heal ourselves. We are created to flourish.
Unfortunately, the modern society we live in Is full of emotional, physical, technological, and environmental stresses, that are overwhelming our nervous systems.
So, we have two choices - change the environment or make ourselves stronger and more able to adapt. I specialize in enhancing nervous system function so that your body can integrate these stressful experiences and so you can live out your full health potential.
You update your phone and computer to handle newer software and technology, but when was the last time you "updated" your nervous system?
I am especially excited to serve the littlest members of our community, newborns, because birth trauma is the leading cause of a hyper-aroused nervous system + a decreased ability to adapt to our environment.
Dr. Sarah is a graduate of Life University's Doctor of Chiropractic program where she was awarded the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation. She is certified in the Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association which gives her the credentials to safely and specifically adjust pregnant moms. She is also a member of The Pediatric Experience which is a training program for Pediatric Chiropractors who want to provide excellent service and care for their community.
